With more than 35 years of experience in business, mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnering, manufacturing, technology development and more, he has spearheaded several successful start-ups in a multitude of industries from manufacturing and software applications to hazardous waste remediation and land development. Well seasoned in doing business at all levels, he has overseen the acquisition of 18 companies and the opening of overseas subsidiaries. Many of the companies he founded remain international leaders in their fields today.
Co-Founder & Communications Director
Mary Ellen has spent over 35 years working in various industries, including academia, garment manufacturing, management consulting, trust banking, non-profit healthcare, and medical research. She started a company representing graphic artists, designers & photographers in the advertising, corporate in-house marketing, and film & music industries. Mary Ellen moved on to become President of an award-winning film design company. She then trained in architectural and environmental design, emphasizing green design. Film and architecture clients have honed her communication, collaboration, and juggling skills.
Chief Financial Officer
Shoaib is a rags-to-success serial entrepreneur who started his first business with less than £100 in his pocket and quickly built it up to an award-winning, million-pounds-per-year concern. A chartered accountant formerly with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Shoaib has helped hundreds of businesses build sound financial functions whilst offering growth strategy, business plans, financial accounting, and modeling. With strong leadership and leveraging more than 20 years of building over a dozen business ventures, Shoaib has a passion for disrupting current business models. Previous ventures have included accounting firms, pharmaceuticals, SaaS applications, and SuperApps.
Energy Technology Director
Greg has spent over 30 years creating successful business ventures, from large Fortune 100 companies to small start-ups. His ventures include hemp processing, power generation, engineered wood products, food products, computers and software, energy efficiency/cogeneration, industrial couplings, auto parts manufacturing, composites, and industrial processes. In addition to his training in mechanical engineering, he has a deep understanding and experience in executive management, finance, sales, and marketing. Greg knows and delivers the best sustainability technologies.
Board Advisor, Operations
Chris is a customer-focused professional who values partnerships. As an expert in building asset controls and monitoring systems, he provides clear energy and environmental solutions with tangible benefits.
Before founding Cantec E.S., Chris spent 20 years in Operations Director and Business Management roles at large energy management companies. He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director (NED) and Advisory Board Member (ABM) part-time.
A qualified Electrical Engineer and certified Low Carbon Consultant, Chris is affiliated with industry organizations like The Energy Institute, ESTA, CIBSE, the Chamber of Commerce, and The UK Engineering Council.
Marketing Director
Louise is a seasoned marketer with 25 years of experience in Marketing and Sales across sectors like Retail, Media, and Financial Services, having worked for Tesco, Barclays Bank, and Capital One. With expertise in omnichannel marketing, she excels in both digital and offline media and is also a skilled copywriter. Louise co-founded a property development company and is a trustee of The Sorn Foundation in Cambodia, which built a school for underprivileged children in Bakod Village in 2022. Passionate about education, Louise emphasises passion, positivity, communication, and collaboration in her approach.
